Frequently asked questions

Where does the You Edu. team find teachers?

Our EFL teachers come from native-English speaking countries and usually hold passports from the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, Australia, and South Africa. We have an existing bank of teachers and continue to source and interview new candidates weekly.

How are teachers vetted?

Due to the visa restrictions of most countries, we have an minimum expectation that all of our teachers have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline as well as a 120 Hour TEFL certificate. Candidates are welcome to interview whilst they are completing their TEFL course but will not be offered a position until the certificate is provided. We then match candidate profiles with school requirements. All partner schools are expected to appy for the correct working visa and criminal background checks required by their local authority.

Can the You Edu. team assist with visa applications?

Yes! The You Edu. team will help teachers collate all of their documentation and fill out the correct visa forms for their new role abroad. Schools are then responsible for making the final additions to the application and then submitting to the local immigration department. Please note, the You Edu. team will never advise a teacher to move abroad without a valid, legal working visa.
